Leisa Kirstein is a qualified and respected Piano & Keyboard Teacher, Theory Teacher and Kindermusik Educator.  Leisa has 17 years experience of teaching both private & group musical tuition.

Leisa conducts both Piano and Keyboard tuition at Somerset and Marymount College, and has taught at numerous local public and private schools, including Merrimac State School, Surfers Paradise State School, Saint Francis Xavier Primary School & Kids on Keys Music School.  Leisa also teaches privately from her home studio in Bundall (Sorrento).

Leisa regularly assists at the Somerset Festival for Young Performers as an adjudicator supporting young talent in the performing arts.  Leisa annually prepares students from beginner to advanced for musical examinations in both practical and theory streams through the Australian Guild of Music and Speech, Australian Music Examinations Board and has previously entered candidates through the Anzca and Trinity College of Music Examination Boards.

Leisa’s early teaching years involved working with Stageworkx.  It was through Stageworkx that Leisa gained valuable experience teaching a performing skills program that incorporated both music and drama to local kindergartens.  Leisa is passionate about an early exposure to music.   Through music lessons a student gains improved memory, reasoning & problem solving skills.
