Lessons

LOCATIONS

In Tune Music Academy currently conducts Piano, Keyboard & Theory tuition for students of Marymount College & Marymount Primary School.   Lessons have been conducted by In Tune Music Academy from Marymount since 1996.  Private tuition after school hours is also available from a private teaching studio in Bundall (Sorrento).

Marymount tuition is conducted in the Music Department (J Block) at Marymount College. Lessons are offered in both private tuition & shared duo lessons.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Lessons missed by the student due to school commitments such as camps & excursions will either be rescheduled to another time suitable to both teacher & student or credited when an alternative lesson time cannot be arranged.  Prior notice of 1 week must be given & lessons missed due to a student’s forgetfulness are forfeited.  Lessons missed due to illness are rescheduled timetable permitting & only if the teacher has been advised of the students absence via phone call or text message.  Lessons missed due to extended family holidays during the school term are not credited & must be paid for in full to retain the students lesson time.

FEES

Lessons are 30 minutes in duration & fees are set in accordance with the Music Teachers Association of Queensland guidelines.  Private and duo lessons are available and set in accordance with the MTAQ fee schedule.

Examination fees, eisteddfod fees & any additional lessons or book charges will be itemised & added to termly accounts. Lesson fees are not charged for public holidays.

Lesson fees are billed for each school term & are emailed to parents in the first week of each school term.  Payment of lesson fees is available through electronic funds transfer.  Parents can then keep their payment receipt as a record of their payment.  Invoice receipts will be issued from In Tune Music Academy upon request only.

TIMETABLES

Primary School students will be issued with a non-rotational lesson time on the same day each week.  College students will be issued with a rotational lesson time that will be conducted on the same day of each week.  Every possible effort is made to ensure that students don’t miss out on the same school subject weekly.  Before & after school times are available, however as these times are limited they are usually given as first preference to College students.

It is the student’s responsibility to arrive to class on time.  If a student fails to arrive to his/her lesson, every effort will be made on the teachers part to locate the student.  Sometimes this is not possible if a class is not in their usual scheduled classroom & the school office has not been notified of their whereabouts.  In the case of missed lessons for this reason, lessons are not credited & are only rescheduled at the discretion of the teacher & timetable permitting.
